Global Driver Management proudly announces the successful debut of Sofia Necchi in the RCN series, held on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The young driver took to the track for her first official car race aboard a BMW 330i entered by the Sorg Rennsport team, sharing driving duties with her father, Paolo Necchi. The race unfolded under intense weather conditions, with persistent rain turning the already unforgiving Nordschleife into a treacherous test of precision and control.
Despite the challenges posed by a soaked and slippery track, Sofia displayed remarkable composure, maturity, and confidence behind the wheel. Navigating the twists, elevation changes, and blind corners of the 25-kilometer circuit, she completed her stint without errors and crossed the finish line in P7 overall—an impressive result for a debut on such a historic and demanding stage.
This promising start marks an important milestone in Sofia’s transition from karting to car racing, and confirms the potential and determination that Global Driver Management recognized from the beginning.
