The Dubai Kartdrome set the stage for the debut of young driver Sofia Necchi in the DD2 category. On this important event, the Italian driver showcased excellent speed skills, immediately clocking lap times identical to the top drivers. After a challenging qualifying session and three impressive comebacks in the heats, Sofia experienced an incident in the Super Heats that forced her to start the Final from the ninth grid position. Despite starting well and climbing up to fifth place, Sofia received a 5-second penalty, ultimately slipping to sixth place in the final standings. Sofia’s next challenge in this new category will be in early February at the Al Ain track.
